Ken'ichi Matsuyama was born in Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture in 1985. In 2001, Ken'ichi started his career as a model. In 2002 Ken'ichi made his debut as an actor landing a small role in the NTV drama "Gokusen" as Kenichi Mori. In 2003, Ken'ichi expanded to movies and landed his first supporting role in Bright Future. Ken'ichi's acting career expanded with his role as Shin in the 2005 movie Nana. His major breakthrough came in 2006 with Ken'ichi's charismatic performance as "L" in Death Note and Death Note: The Last Name. Since then Ken'ichi has performed in a variety of different roles like the shy death metal rocker in Detroit Metal City and the youth that falls in love with an older woman in Don't Laugh at My Romance. More recently, Ken'ichi has worked with foreign directors like Korean-Japanese director Yoichi Sai in Kamui gaiden and Vietnamese director Anh Hung Tran in Norwegian Wood. Asianwiki

Kenal Kenichi pertama kali berkat perannya di Death Note sebagai L yang langsung bikin jatuh cintrong

Aktingnya superb banget disitu, benar-benar seperti gambaran L di manga

Sempat nggak sadar waktu dia main di Nana

Abis itu liat dia di DMC, gokil abis potongan rambutnya tapi mendadak jadi sangar kalo udah manggung

Sempat agak gimana gitu liat karakternya di Norwegian Wood

Untunglah waktu main di Usagi Drop, suka banget sama karakternya

Dan begitu rewatch Linda Linda Linda, baru sadar ada Ken-chan yang masih polos

Sedangkan doramanya baru nonton Zeni Geba dan Ichi Litre no Namida (sadarnya waktu rewatch )

Next, filmnya My Back Page sampe sekarang belum kesampaian di tonton

Oh, ya.. tahun ini dia main dorama Toi Yakusoku loh...

Actor Kenichi Matsuyama is cast in new movie SOMETHING LIKE IT SOMETHING LIKE IT (literal and working of "No Yona Mono No Yona Mono"). Movie is a sequel to 1981 film "Something Like It" ("No Yona Mono"). Also cast in the sequel film are Katsunobu Ito, Isao Bito and Denden who also appeared in the original 1981 film. Longtime assistant director Yasukazu Sugiyama, who was an assistant director for the original 1981 film, will direct the sequel. Story for SOMETHING LIKE IT SOMETHING LIKE IT has Kenichi Matsuyama tasked to find a former disciple of comic storytelling family. He then visits various ex-disciples in his search. Filming for SOMETHING LIKE IT SOMETHING LIKE IT began September 5, 2014 in Nikk0, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Source

The story tells about Master Shinsui (Denden) asks Shinden (Kenichi Matsuyama) to find a former disciple, Shintoto (Katsunobu Ito), from his comic storytelling family. Shinden visits ex-disciples in his search for Shintoto. Filming began on September 5, 2014 in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. And will release on 2015. A man in the right is Yoshimitsu Morita, Matsuken ever worked together with him for movie “Bokutachi Kyuukou - A Ressha de Ikou” in 2012 but, Morita-san had passed away in 2011 before that movie release.
